At 801 Sew Co. LLC, we’re all about making gear that’s tough, reliable, and built to last, just like the people who use it.
This all started in the late 1990s when I bought my first sewing machine off eBay to make seat covers for an old Tote Gote. That one project turned into a habit, and over the years I kept finding reasons to keep sewing.
Later, when I was running my 1947 Jeep Willys, I needed a reusable trash bag for the trails. The first bag worked, but it didn’t take long to learn one bag is never enough. You always end up hauling out more than what you brought in. Friends started asking for them, then other Jeep and Scout guys wanted them, and before long a major Jeep parts supplier reached out and asked to carry my products. That’s when 801 Sew Co. really became a real thing.
In the beginning, everything was sold under @theredwillus. As the business grew and the mission got bigger, we rebranded to 801 Sew Co. LLC. It fits who we are and what we stand for, building functional gear for people who actually use it.
Since those early days, we’ve handcrafted and sold over 2,000 bags. Every one is built to haul gear, keep trails clean, and hold up to real use. Over time we’ve expanded what we make and how we make it. With better equipment, including Juki machines, and a constant focus on functional design, we now offer gear for hikers, off-roaders, and Tote Gote enthusiasts. From heavy-duty trash bags for rigs to compact trail gear for backpackers, everything we build is made with purpose.
We’re proud to call Lehi, Utah home. We use quality materials, solid construction, and we build stuff that’s meant to get dirty.
Our mission is simple.
